If you are a physician listed here
Your record comes from the register your college publishes about you. We did not collect it from you.
We do not reproduce it word for word. Values are cleaned and standardized so that eleven registers can be searched as one, and a few fields are added that no college published. What we never add is an opinion: no ratings, no reviews, no commentary, no judgement about how you practise.
Two of the additions are worth naming plainly.
- Gender, where your college does not publish it, is inferred from your full name by a language model. It may be wrong, and the site labels it as inferred wherever it appears.
- Practice addresses are geocoded to place a point on a map. That point is only as precise as the address your college published.
Your page here links to your profile on your college’s own site wherever the college publishes one, because the college is the authoritative record and this site is not.
To correct something your college published, contact your college. The change flows through here at the next refresh. To correct something we introduced, such as an inferred or standardized value, or to ask about your listing on this site, write to ali@registryexplorer.ca.
If you have an account
We collect what you gave us and what your use of the site produces:
- Your application: name, email, role, institution if you gave one, and how you heard about the site.
- Your account: email, name, and sign-in sessions. We store no passwords, because there are none: sign-in is an emailed link or Google.
- Your usage: which physician records you opened and on what day, how many search results you loaded, and the questions you asked the assistant. This is how the daily limits are counted, and it is also how misuse becomes visible.
- Analytics: pages visited and searches run, tied to your account.
It is used to run the site, enforce the limits, and decide who gets access. It is not sold, and it is not shared with anyone except the service providers below.
If you use the site without an account
When the site is open to guests, the same usage is recorded so the daily limits can be counted. It is filed under a code made from your network address and the date, never the address itself, and the code changes every day, so one day’s use cannot be linked to the next. Analytics are tied to that code too.
Who else touches it
- Vercel hosts the site, and Neon hosts the database. Both are in the United States, which means your account data is stored and processed outside Canada.
- Resend sends the sign-in and approval emails.
- PostHog records product analytics.
- OpenAI receives the text of questions you ask the assistant, in order to answer them.
- Google is involved only if you choose to sign in with it.

Keeping and deleting
Account and usage records are kept while your account is active. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove it and its usage history. Register data about physicians is not deleted on request here, because it follows what the college publishes; that request belongs with the college.
